Catholic High School is a college-preparatory high school in Little Rock, Arkansas, founded in 1930 that strives to challenge boys academically while also teaching the truths of manhood – faith, integrity, and, as Father Tribou often stressed, duty.

The academic objectives of the science department include meeting the state standards and requirements for high school graduation, equipping the student for college entrance exams (ACT/SAT), and preparing students for college course works in the various science descriptions. The department offers courses in physical science, biology, chemistry, physics, and human anatomy and physiology. To ensure student mastery, various teaching methods are employed which include hands-on laboratory activities, demonstrations, lectures, formal and informal assessments, group work, and student-based learning with an emphasis on inquiry.
