Mr. Dave Massery ’77 joined the Catholic High faculty in the 2010–2011 school year. A graduate of the University of San Francisco, he was selected for the Jesuit Exchange Program, spending his sophomore year at Boston College and a summer studying at the University of Hawaii. During his graduate studies at Michigan State University, he earned a scholarship to study labor relations at the University of Stockholm in Sweden.

Before returning to Catholic High, Mr. Massery built an accomplished career in human resources and employee relations. He served as Vice President of Employee Relations for Alltel and Windstream, and as Director of International Human Resources for Alltel, Fidelity National, and Winrock International, leading human resource initiatives across six continents.

Mr. Massery remains licensed to practice law in Arkansas and serves as an adjunct professor of Labor Law at the UALR Bowen School of Law. Since 2014, he has been a member of the Educational Advisory Board for the Little Rock Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

His excellence in education has been recognized with the Stephens Award in 2022 and the Bessie B. Moore Award for Excellence in Teaching Economics from the Economics Arkansas Alliance in 2024. Mr. Massery currently teaches World History, Economics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Human Geography, Geography, and Religion at Catholic High.
