Tutoring

Students have various opportunities both to help others and to seek help. Many students are willing to tutor their brothers, and some even join clubs whose goal is to help the brethren.

Catholic High’s Math Club, Mu Alpha Theta, is a nationally recognized mathematics honor society formed in 1957 at the University of Oklahoma.  Membership is available to students their junior and senior year for excellence in their math courses. The purpose of Mu Alpha Theta is to inspire students to grow their math curiosity and spread that interest to others. In order to be invited to join Mu Alpha Theta, a student must be a junior who has maintained a 3.0 overall GPA and made all A’s in mathematics. They must attend quarterly meetings and provide tutoring to classmates during their study hall period or before or after school.
